23 June, Physics & Art Mondays: How to trace patterns in Physics & Art

We are excited to invite you to the fourth of five Physics & Art Mondays in the summer semester 2025 — a new interdisciplinary lecture and discussion series at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich (AdBK). This initiative is part of a four-year collaboration between the SFB1258, the Academy of Fine Arts Munich (AdBK), and Haus der Kunst. Together, we will reflect on fundamental physics research through artistic and curatorial perspectives.

The collaboration will examine the role of scientific knowledge production in shaping society and the cultural relevance of basic research. It is guided by Elisa Resconi, spokesperson of the SFB1258, and Armin Linke, professor of photography at AdBK and PI of the SFB1258, in close cooperation with Andrea Lissoni, Artistic Director of Haus der Kunst.

23 June, Program
18:30 get-together with pizza & drinks
19:00 – 20:00 How to trace patterns in Physics & Art
with Raimund Strauß (TUM, tbc) & Alexandra Pirici (AdBK)

Venue
