About
Radio Amnion: Sonic Transmissions of Care in Oceanic Space is a multi-year sound art project for water bodies of the Earth by quantum ecologist Jol Thoms. It broadcasts commissioned compositions by contemporary artists into the Pacific Ocean at a depth of more than two kilometers during each full moon. The radio station is integrated into a pathfinder experiment for the Pacific Ocean Neutrino Experiment (P-ONE). Radio Amnion has been presented at the 60th Venice Biennale, 23rd Milano Triennale, and at Shanghai’s McaM, amongst others. The project is supported by the German Research Foundation and the Canada Council for the Arts. radioamnion.net
