The ContacTUM Contact Tracing App

In spring 2020, the ContacTUM Consortium together with ITO developed a privacy and efficacy improved DCTS concept following the decentraliced approach and including Private Set Intersection Cardinality and second order tracing. The DCTS app based on this concept is available for download on the ITO website. DCTS stands for Digital Contact Tracing System, for which  now the term Covid-19 Exposure Notification System is commonly used.

In the following, we describe the concept of the ContacTUM DCTS app aiming at general understandability and give information on other DCTS approaches. For more technical details, we refer to our DCTS publication. Information on the apps officially provided in different countries can be found here.
